Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson
This comic relates to my life because I consider myself a kid and I believe you do have to be something when you grow up because we are humans. We can't grow up and do nothing, or not have a job because then we'd live on the streets and be a bum. Animals are free to do what they want and therefore don't have to become anything. My dog, Blake, is a puppy. He is one years old. In a few years, when he becomes grown up, he will still be a dog. Not a police officer or a doctor. I found this comic to be funny because when the tiger replies that he has no room to improvement and that is why a tiger stays a tiger because tigers do not have the ability to think like a human and therefore can't get a job. The tiger is simply being confident or acting like an adult would tell their child about a life lesson. Kind of like a white lie. If I asked my mom why something was and she didn't want to answer she would give a white lie. For example Santa. When the boy is sad that he has humans for parents, the tiger replies with that they have good protein. The tiger is saying that his parents are still good and there's an upside to having humans as parents. I love my parents.
