My dad absolutely loves to eat raw oysters. One time when I was in Florida my brother Alex, my dad, my godfather, and I went to a restaurant called the
Green Turtle. My mom and aunt had gone out, so this is what we did for dinner. At the
Green Turtle there was a raw oyster bar. My godfather and Dad ate so many! The next day when they woke up they were both really sick! I felt really bad for them, but I wondered if it was worth it. My family had to go on a plane back to Albany airport that day, so I felt worse for my dad. Sometimes when I go out to eat and my dad orders oysters I ask if I can try one and my mom gets grossed out and tells me that it's slimy and goes right down your throat. I wonder if oysters in the 1630's tasted like they do today. Perhaps they'd be better today because of our technology! I know the Scientific revolution was around the 1600's but they're certainly not as advanced as we are today!
